"The walls of this hotel are paper-thin
Last night I heard you making love to him
The struggle mouth to mouth and limb to limb
The grunt of unity when he came in
I stood there with my ear against the wall
I was not seized by jealousy at all."

Joni Mitchell referred to him as a "boudoir poet." This song is amazing, and somewhat discomfiting to listen to--and I'm saying that as a person who would 100% be standing there with my ear against the wall.

Joni was one of those free spirits who could never settle down with one guy for very long. She was an absolutely brilliant generational talent, but she always needed to roam the World freely.
