There are also plenty decent scopes in the $500 range. You’ll
need to decide what the best balance of magnification & optics quality works for you. And in general, since most viewing will likely be at night, a larger objective lens will gather more light. But also be mindful of lens coatings, I think some will do better in low light than others.

This year, I stayed at the same hotel and booked the same room, which has the best view overlooking the “love hotel.” This time, I was more prepared. I brought a tripod and a pair of higher-powered binoculars with better zoom and clarity.

If there are hotels close to festival with floor to ceiling windows or even just normal windows but they are high rise hotels, look for hotels in Google maps that are close to this then go on tripadvisor review for the hotel and check the traveller photos.People usually take photos of their window view. This can give you some useful Intel of what room to ask for (e.g. facing the street or alley etc).

High odds are if you stay at this hotel on Valentines day you will see some live sex.

Yes that or Valentine's day. Next to that central train station is to big high rise hotels which are next to each other. The side windows have view of each other's rooms.
