Yes, and in the next sentence, he replies: "you don't need to reassure me". And she replies: "[reassure you] about my shell, I mean".
It's a brilliant play on words, typically feminine : They speak about a tense moment that they just have experciened during a professional seminar or something like that. On one hand, she agrees to play the tough girl who makes love to protect and reassure her boyfriend, because she handled the conflict better than he did during the seminar, and he admires her for it. On the other hand, she claims to have neither armor nor a shell and she invites him to check her physically.

I used to live in France during 7 years in Paris and Mulhouse, and i also have a beautiful french neighbor which is talking a lot about elegance and good education. Based on the accent and the way they talked, i would say that she's not a good and elegant woman and that's also probably the reason i think the girl on the picture is her, because actually to me this voice match with the picture.

But that's only my opinion.
