I was at an event in East London a couple weeks back and because my employer wasn't going to pay for anything I had to choose my own hotel. I was unsure which one to go with but in the end decided to go for the large and cheap-ish Brittania Hotel hoping to get most opportunity to capture some sounds.

It wasn't bad, it wasn't great. Plenty rooms but not that many young couples. More so, CCTV cameras on either side of each corridor, so I was being filmed from both angles every second of my rounds. I decided to not give a f@ck and wandered 4 floors anyway, basically from 11PM until nearly 03:00.

Many failures but I did catch something at the start and at the very end of the night. Didn't see either couple. Great long sloppy BJ in one of them. Lucky guy

Yeah, that's how I would describe Britannia's hotels. Stayed in 2 of them, and no way did/would
I have breakfast or any other meals in them. If you stay in the one in Wolverhampton, for example,
I read in the reviews there is a security guard who stops guests bringing in takeaway meals bought
outside the hotel.

If you think of them as budget hotels and not expect too much, then they're OK, I suppose.

But that one in Birmingham...that's another 'Grenfell' disaster waiting to happen, since they
allow smoking on the top floor...or top two floors, I think. Not that that makes any difference,
because I could see youngsters smoking inside even the non-smoking rooms whenever I looked
across the courtyard from my room. Oh, and at night I could hear a scatty street hooker (obviously)
taking it up the arse in the small alleyway next to the hotel building.
