I have never heard of R4R before. All I could think when I was reading your story is, God damn! Some of you really have fascinating sex lives! I'm glad the R4R went ok, as it's always risky. Even if the context is completely SFW.

As I googled it, I saw a post online of a woman saying that her boyfriend asked her for a threesome, which she refused. Two years later, she was down for it, and suggested MFM, which he categorically refused. If my girlfriend ever suggested we have an MFF threesome, I would ask her how she feels about MFM first. If she tells me she's open to that too, I would refuse, because as someone who's not open to MFM, I don't want to be the kind of person who gets MFF with his partner, but doesn't want to reciprocate with MFM if she asks.
