Need help with a daft question

First some background and then what might seem like a daft question.
Having now managed to get a sound card that allows digital transfers from minidisk via an optical lead, I’ve started going through many old disks. There’s well over 75 and quite a few are potentially sexual, but I don’t know for sure until I listen to them. The reason for this, is that when I thought there might be a possibility of getting some good sounds I would leave the minidisk deck recording in mono, so it captured the maximum 2hrs 30 mins possible. The idea being to listen the next morning, but often it seems I didn’t get round to listening. It’s quite excitin looking for any unknown captures, but each disk takes a long time and with some I’m not sure if it’s my imagination, or there is some stuff on them.
Many were recorded at low levels with background noises and aren’t that clear, so that means I have to listen to the original first and if it contains sounds of room occupants or whatever, I then have to try and find out if any sex occurred. There aren’t any shortcuts other than to listen to most of the full recording from the original, so it can take a couple of hours or more. Some are clear, but a lot aren’t. If I think I identify possible ‘sounds’ by listening, I then record to the comp (taking in some cases 2 hours or more) and then normalize and tweak to hear well enough. After that it’s a matter of going through the whole recording again and making notes.
I’ve just gone through the process with a recording of my sister-in-law alone in bed some years ago. She was separated at the time, so staying with us. At the time of the recording she was a very attractive early 30s. I also know from other recordings I have and will post in due course, that she did like to enjoy herself from time to time. Usually if she decided on a little self-indulgence, it would often occur within about 30 mins of her getting into bed. Most times after her fun she would go to sleep, but I do have some evidence that a repeat session probably happened at least once. Apart from the sex ones, quite a lot of the recordings I made were of her getting into bed and going to sleep.
This latest minidisk is a real enigma and after many hours of ‘white noise’ hell I’m still not sure. The whole recording is 2 hours 30 mins and she was in bed at 18 mins. Right to the end there are places where I think she’s started some fun, but it might be my imagination. On this minidisk, unlike others, I’m totally unsure if she ever gets to sleep. I can hear her moving many times, which is unusual as on other recordings of her, there’s very little movement after sleep. At the time of this recording she had a slight cold and sniffs quite a few times. So here is the big question for anyone who might know;
Do people make involuntary sniffs in their sleep, or are they usually associated with a conscious action?
It sounds to me very like she’s awake when she does sniff and if so maybe she was having a restless night. It would also mean that she was awake after 132 mins in bed. In that case it is quite possible she had a few rubs from time to time. I know it’s a daft question, but if anyone can help it would help me get to grips with some of the sounds I’m hearing. A slight cold while asleep, my imagination making it up, or a few real sounds!
Apologies for the length of this post and the very daft question, but thanks for reading.
