Help me understand this. I would think that getting the whole experience of the visual and audio would turn me on more, but it turns me on less. What's going on here? Is it the same for guys and girls on this forum?

For me it's the fact that audio gives you the outcome only, but it's your imagination that says what caused that gasp or moan, why the sudden deep moan, is she on top, him behind her etc etc. That for me is the turn on.

I felt same when I entered into the File Archive.
Too much. Like a long desk full of foods, steaks, fruits, sweets.
I have been looking for quality rather than quantity.

Yes, i agree, i think that imagination is the strongest part of the human body, it gives you the freedom to see what you want to see. When i hear sounds, i do wonder which position they are doing, if i dont know how they look like, then you try to imagine that as well. Sometimes, if you actually saw them, you might even wish you couldn't. depending of course on their looks.
We go to a holiday flat in the UK regularly when my hubby has to work there and we know the owners. yes, they are good looking, so when we hear them having sex, especially on a Sunday morning it is really horny. I always try to imagine whether they are doing doggystyle, 69 or whatever. You can usually hear by the noise from the bed which body is moving in which direction. So, i think the mind, the imagination really takes over and provides you with the scene you want to see.
I know i have promised to tape them, but i have not had the opportunity or the courage yet. My hubby would not approve. Wish i had been able to though. Think you would all be impressed with them.

I think the main reason I like it is because I know it is real. (Or, at least, most of them are and the rest we assume are real.)

When I catch a hotel recording from the hallway, I know that is real people having real sex.

There is so much porn out there -- but even the amateur stuff is still usually recorded with full knowledge that it is going to be public eventually. Therefore, no matter what they do, that was likely always in the back of their mind. They are still putting on a "show" of sorts.

But these recordings -- they aren't like that. They are things that people usually never really intended anyone to hear. They were in no way putting on a "show" of any kind for anyone. Instead, they were just doing what they do naturally.

That is why I like the sounds so much. They are simply real people. I think it is very, very difficult to find that realism anywhere else.

The only thing that could be close to that would be a secretly taped video, but that just goes too far for me. I wouldn't feel "right" about that. It would be unfair to them. If they are having sex loud enough that I can hear (and record) it out in the hallway of a hotel, then I feel comfortable with that. They should have known that someone might be able to hear them in the hotel hallway. But it would be completely different if someone snuck in and hid a video camera in their room and released it. That would be unacceptable to me because I think it would be unfair to them.

So, again, that really only leaves one way to get "real" sex sounds from people not trying to put on a show: these covert recordings. Nothing else compares.

Why do sounds turn you on more that the visual? I think Paul Simon summed it up best in his 1973 song "Kodachrome".............

Again... the big complaint I have with this site is my guess that 90+ percent of the captures posted on this site are the sounds of paid "Ooooooooh.....Ahhhhhhhh" prositiutes. I almost NEVER hear the fun, the laughing and the chatting comments that a large percentage of lovers in serious relationships engage in. A lot of it seems staged to me.... like listenting to the soundtrack of a "Oooooh, Ahhhhh" porn movie.

And again, the big complaint I have with this post is my guess that 90+ percent of your posts serve only to assert the same thing. For starters, 90+ percent is wildly inaccurate, and is actually kinda insulting to some of the regular contributors dontcha think?

Think about how much of the content here is captured on the fly in risky circumstances for the person actually getting the recording. That might go some way toward explaining why few people will increase their chances of getting busted by sticking around for the pillow talk. Then, there's the fact that most of the people who're recording as one half of a serious relationship are doing so covertly and wouldn't want to be identified. Every human voice is unique and distinctive, as are accents, linguistic patterns and phrases, certain features of background atmosphere, so protecting identities is about way more than just snipping out names and addresses. Lastly, consider that what gets uploaded is at the discretion of whoever made the recording, and whilst they might be happy letting us hear them doing the mattress mamba for bragging rights, they'd probably be less inclined to have the same amount of people listening in on the intimate moments of THEIR serious relationship. Repeatedly slamming the content submitted by these people is gonna make it less likely that they'll relax enough to give more away. Even taking all that into account, I can only conclude that you're just not listening hard enough, because there's a lot more of what you're searching for present than your 90+ percent bullshit sweeping statement would suggest.

I'd stop short of saying a lot, but yeah, for once we agree on something. There are certainly fake posts that find their way here (staged recording scenarios, rips from pornos etc). Hilariously, I'm quite sure that some of the posts that you've managed to be something akin to complementary about fall into the very category you constantly woman about. Just goes to show that taste in audio voyeurism is just that... taste! It's all subjective, and it's all a matter of opinion. I'm not saying that you're not entitled to yours, I'm asking that you do what most of the rest of us do - thank people for the stuff you've enjoyed and move on if you didn't dig it. It's a lot less damaging to the community than what you're doing now.

I have often wondered this myself. I used to feel really guilty about it, especially listening in on people that I know I shouldn't be, or be turned on by. Now I just accept that it is what it is, and it helps a lot that I met someone who (sort of) understands.

A lot of great replies, I understand why I'm so turned on by this a lot better now!
