No more SexSounds at my favourite Motel!?

Hello,
I live in Germany, and there is a Motel not far away from my home; I visit this Motel since years sometimes on weekends in the evenings.
I can go in without to be seen by the reception, and there were almost everytime sex-activities then I visit the Motel, because I think couples meet there to having sex!?
But since about a year there are almost no sex-activities, and I have no idea why? Have anyone an idea why this could be, the Motel is still in operation!
Maybe the Motel-Owner says to the couples at the check-in, "you can have a room in my Motel, but only if you have no sex"
It´s a mystery for me.....

Hm, you might be able to check that, either by booking a room yourself, or by having a look into the visitor ratings on booking sites. If I would be advised to be silent or something else right away when cheking-in, I would note it there...
But maybe it might be worth to have an eye on the kind of people visiting this motel, whether there are couples and no retired people...
Another explanation coul be that the motel has changed to an elderly residence?

Any indication for that?

I wonder if the hot hotels change like bars. For whatever reasons people of an age start going someplace else, and what used to be a lovers getaway becomes a place for tired travelers or businessmen. I can not say for sure, but I would be willing to bet you that in my town the odds of hearing good sex would be much higher at the places near the university than downtown in the business district.

My guess would be that there is a new hotel in town that happens to attract those couples that used to visit your hotel before.
Why did people choose this hotel? Is it a cheap one - then look for a new and probably cheaper one. Is it a romantic one - then look for a more romantic location. Do they offer special rates, activities, is it conveniently located ... There might be a new one that beats your hotel in one or more of these aspects.

Also, I find the summer months dismal for for our purposes. Hotels are often full (so couples are more likely to keep the noise down for fear of waking the neighbors), prices are jacked up and there is much more to do in the evenings than in the winter months so people go to bed with sleep, rather than sex, in mind.
That's my theory, anyway.

The Motel is a cheap one, direct next to the highway, very anonym. It´s correct, at the moment are many families and older people at their holiday trip in the Motel; but the "sex-sounds-situation" was not much better in the winter months!? I think I will check if there is a new Motel near by!

Conferences involving women and wedding receptions........ people party and then they get down. Issue is thick walls in newer places.

I would like to walk into a random hotel at night to walk the corridors. How would you know at what hotels there is no receptionist/ porter stopping you? Is it often the smaller crappier 2* places outside the city centre or more the big ones with so many rooms that reception staff could not stop all people?

The best bet for this sort of thing is to find a hotel with a keypad lock for late-comers. You'd just need to book a room there for one night to get the code and then hope it's not changed regularly (they seldom are). You can even say you'll be arriving late, get the code and then cancel if you don't want to take the room.
However I have never tried this as I always book a room - it gives me somewhere to escape to.
