Ear marks on the wall

Hi I am a lurker for a long time.

When I stay in hotels I usually have my ear pressed on the walls quite a lot.

I noticed that on a certain material type or paint work that I can actually see an ear print left on the wall if the light hits it right, I think this happens when I'm listening for a while and I guess the oils or sweat from my skin make a mark, similar to finger prints.

I then started thinking, "what if the cleaners had those blue UV lights" they would probably walk around the room wondering what happened as they'll just see ear prints all along the walls.

 You needn't worry! The cleaners in a hotel I used to work at were required to clean
a double room in under 8 minutes! Think about that for a minute. Imagine all the many,
many jobs in a long checklist that have to be completed in that very short amount of time.
It's a near-impossible task when you consider that a cleaner (on very low wages, BTW) has to
keep up that kind of pace for the entirety of their shift. So, it's not surprising that many hotel
cleaners in the UK come from countries like Poland, Romania, etc.

Thank God the FBI only retains fingerprints...earprints would have betrayed me years ago..

Hahaha that is such an interesting observation!
I think I should start carrying a UV light with me as well during hotel stays, looking out for ear prints 😂
One them might just be one of you... or me
