First of all my congratulations for the work you do ! I am a real
sexsounds lover and I have a collection of more than 1200
sounds. I think you already have most of them (they come from
#sexsounds and others sites and forums) but if you are
interested I am ready to send you all the collection on CD's so
that you could open new archives sites with the ones you do not
have already. What do you think ? Of course I will did it for free.

Hey Erotique Audio,

Thanks for the recent files. One thing, you might want to consider
converting your files to mp3's rather than wavs, this both saves you a lot
of time on your uploads and it also conserves space in the files area. If
you need an mp3 encoder let me know. This is not a criticism, merely a
suggestion.

For the other files that you already have, I am sorry but as you say
it is quite difficult to know if they are already archived or not.
I have a suggestion : could you edit a "text list" of all the files you
already have ? It will allow everybody to check this list before to
upload something new.
What do you think about this idea ?

Damn it, not sure what happened there, sorry for the blank message
people. Anyhow, hi dubs. Before we can be of too much help I'm going to
ask a few questions, then I'll try and give you some general information
and rules of thumb for you. First off, where do you plan to record your
noisy neighbors from, i.e. where are they in relation to your house or
apartment? How close are your two places? For the record, I want to tell
you don't ever try putting a mic or anything like that into their house,
that is illegal in most places. Now the good news is, you don't need any
terribly fancy equipment to record some fairly good audio. I made my
recordings of my noisy neighbors back in my college days with a fair tape
recorder and an external mic. This is really all you need, you want to buy
the most sensitive mic you can afford. You can of course go digital if you
want, depending on how much money you want to sink into this. If you have
a notebook computer or your desktop is close to where the action can be
heard, near an open window for example, then you might want to try
recording straight to your computer, this eliminates the need for filtering
out tape hiss and so on afterwords. Of course your computer needs to be up
to this task and you still need a good microphone.

For the moment, I'm going to assume you will be using ordinary cassettes as
these players are relatively inexpensive and they are small. Get as close
as is safe so the noisy neighbors are as loud as possible. Like I said be
sure to never use an internal microphone. Unless you have the machine
right in the room with them, which is not usually practical, these mics are
almost never sensitive enough. Even if it is, you will almost always get a
ton of motor noise from the machine itself which then has to be filtered
out with varying degrees of success. so, once you have a session recorded,
you are ready to move it onto your computer and do any necessary filtering
you want, then compress it to mp3 format in preparation for uploading or
otherwise sharing with us grateful audio voyeurs. However, that is a
subject for another message, just let us know what help you need with that
when you get to that point and I am sure that someone here whether it is me
or somebody else will be more than happy to help you out.

Just wanted to holler out to everyone that has been contributing...
GREAT job. I am an avid lover of sex sounds and really appreciate all
the work everyone has done here! if anyone has sound clips of women

Annywho.. I created a couple personal clips, but the only program I
have is WMA format, and the files are around 2.5mb each. Anywhere I

yes, if you get a decent microphone you should easily be able to get some
good recordings from that distance. Don't worry if it doesn't seem loud
enough or there is tape hiss, some of this can be filtered out when you put=

them on the computer and the volume can be raised somewhat through
software. While too much of this tweaking can actually make a file sound
worse than it did originally, a little bit can make all the
difference. anyhow you're most welcome for the help, do keep us posted on=

your progress and let us know what further help you need.

i think audioman said it all - the most important thing is the mic,
well, to have loud neighbours is even more important.
i normally use a minidisc for recording, which is smaller than a
cassette recorder and the quality is great.

wma would be ok. maybe someone could even convert the files to mp3 or
give you some helping in doing so.
posting is only possible in this group, the archives are only for
storage of all files that have been uploaded here before. there will
be more space for new files soon. in times with more member
activities like these days, the files section gets filled up fast.
but that is what the archives are for and no 15 will be announced
soon.

this would not make too much sense as the archives usually are filled
with files from this main group when opened. and secondly, everyone
who have to become a member of every archives group to get all the
files. i think it is easier, to have all the new files here and to
store them for eternity in the archives when the files section is
filled.

no, i'm not angry and i do appreciate a helping hand.

but i don't think the idea of another group doing exactly the same is
a good one. we would have lots of double files, the discussions would
get split and everybody would have to watch different groups to get
all the files.
the space problem is no problem as that is what the archives are for.

what do you think of this:
we could form partner-groups if your new group would concentrate on
your special focus, the sex-songs. you could build a platform for
everybody who likes and/or produces songs like you do. we use both
groups for "promoting" the other one and would not weaken but
strengthen both groups.
of course i would love to hear all of your songs here, so keep
posting them.

Yes, that is a good way to share stuff, although I've personally never got
it to work. A couple other good ways are irc, or the usenet newsgroup
alt.binaries.sounds.erotica. If you have some big files you can't post
here, by all means post them there, we are dying for real stuff over there!

i can answer your question partly now as i spoke to the
maker of the nbs files and he gave me his ok.

these are recordings of our member amiga, done in
bremerhaven (north of germany) through open windows.
if you still think you remember the voice, let us know
more. but although the girls sound very similar, these
are two different couples (the last one, nbs-16-06-2003
is a different couple than the nbs 1 to nbs 5 series).

sorry i can't say anything about the neig files as i only
have the information from the neighborsex-website.

i don't want to prevent anyone from posting files somewhere else.
irc and alt.binaries.sounds.erotica are (or have been) great places
to do so (see links).
but file size should not be a reason for not posting the files here
too. you can always convert and / or split files so that they meet
the restrictions of yahoo groups.
if anybody needs help in doing so you are always welcome to ask.

the girl i thought to have recognized, is living in cottbus, east of
germany, but on some weekends she is with her boyfriend, whose
hometown i don't know. i don't want to spread her name around, so the
only information i have is the name of the city, she is living in.

if you know that this information is fitting the girl in the
nbs-files, i think i may know her, otherwise the voices just sound
very similar.
if you know her name, you could post or mail her initials (not the

as promised, i sent a list of all files that are in the archives
right now. there are two versions in the files section, excel and htm
(which is easier to be read than txt). if you can open excel sheets
you should prefer that version because you can sort the list the way
you want. not all possible information is included (yet) but enough
to let it be of some use for this group.
ok it is late, hope you understand what i was trying to tell you.

btw. i deleted some double files from the archives.
the list will help us to avoid this in future, please make use of it.
i will try to keep it updated whenever there is a new archives group.

da Du etwas von Cottbus schreibst, denke ich mal das Du auch Deutsch
sprichst. Da mein Englisch leider sehr bescheiden ist, bitte ich
Dich die unten stehende Frage zwecks der NBS Dateien noch mal auf
Deutsch zu posten, dann beantworte ich Sie dir. Die NBS Dateien sind
definitiv alle in Bremerhaven von mir persönlich aufgenommen worden.
Dateien 1-5 noch auf Kassette und dann überspielt als ich Yeppie und
diese Gruppe kennen gelernt hatte und die letzte NBS vom 16.6. ist
mit einem Minidisc Rekorder aufgenommen worden, jeweils am offenen
Fenster. Die letzte Aufnahme war sogar nur Zufall, da wollte ich nur
die Einstellungen des Mikros testen und beim Anhören hatte ich
gemerkt was ich da aufgenommen hatte.

ich poste sonst nur englisch, damit alle die postings verstehen
können, aber egal. die frage war, ob du den namen der frau kennst, die
du aufgenommen hast und ob du die initialen von ihr posten oder mailen
könntest, da mir die stimme sehr, sehr bekannt vorkommt. die frau, die
ich eventuell erkannt zu glauben habe, wohnt in eigentlich in
cottbus, fährt übers wochenende aber auch mal weg (zu ihrem freund?).

den Namen habe ich leider nicht, aber es wäre eine erklärung. Ich
habe die Frau nach dem 16.6. nämlich nie wieder gehört, obwohl ich
sehr aufgepasst habe, auch weil das Wetter danach war das man die
Fenster auf lassen konnte. Ich hatte schon zu Yeppie gesagt, das ich
so langsam davon ausgehen muss das die Dame oder sogar das Pärchen
hier nur zu Besuch war. Aber es kann auch alles ein zufall sein, sie
klang nämlich auch meines erachtens genau so wie die Frau aus den
NBS 1-5 Dateien aber das Paar ist hier anfang März weggezogen aus
meiner Nachbarschaft. Also man wundert sich dann doch wie viele
Frauen sich sehr ähneln beim Stöhnen. Aber du siehst deine Theorie
ist nicht unmöglich. Sollte ich Sie hier doch noch mal wieder hören,
werde ich es Dir berichten und hoffentlich auch falls ich es
aufnehmen konnte hier die Datei posten. Du kannst mir dann ja sagen
ob Sie dieses Wochenende oder in der Woche nicht in Cottbus war.
Nichts ist unmöglich, wäre ein kurioser Zufall.

langsam denke ich aber, dass das alles wirklich nur ein zufall ist.
mir ist schon klar, dass im 16-6 file die nachbarn reden, aber wird
nicht in nbs1-5 auch gesprochen oder bist du das, den ich da zu hören

zu nbs1-5: wann sind die denn aufgenommen? und die frau auf diesen
aufnahmen wohnte damals in bremerhaven und kann also nicht meine

in den NBS 1-5 sind es immmer verschiedene die dort im Hintergrund
dann und wann zu hören sind. Ich hatte damals kein richtiges
Mikrofon. Die Dateien sind mit einem CB-Funk Mikro (Silver Eagle)
verbunden mit einem Kassettenrekorder aufgenommen. Das Mikro ist in
CB-Funk Kreisen dafür bekannt eine sehr saubere Modulation zu haben.
Leider war die Module manchmal zu gut, so das ich nicht nur meine
Nachbarn ca. 15m enfernt aufgenommen habe, sondern auch sonst alles
was gerade so draussen passierte. Bei der Frau aus dem NBS 1-5
Dateien gehe ich nicht davon aus das es sich um deine bekannte
handelt. Das Paar hat hier viele Jahre gewohnt und ich schätze die
Frau auf mitte 30 bis anfang 40, dunkle schulter lange Haare, schöne
Figur. Ich konnte mal sehen wie Sie nur mit einem Herren Hemd
bekleidet durch Ihre Küche spazierte. Die Dateien sind aus den
Jahren 1998 und 1999.

i do hope that we can keep this group alive for a very long time.

what i was thinking about tonight (supported by some great french and
italian white wine) is, how can we make this group even more
attractive. i know how hard it is to find sexsound related topics on
the web, so why not help people to find our group.

if everybody who really enjoys being a member of sexsoundlovers would
promote this group, we might double the number of members, the number
of contributions and maybe even win some new fans of sexsounds. we
all would gain from some fresh sounds!

so what i hope you to do is:

- tell your buddies about this group
- promote this group on yahoo groups, websites, forums, and
everywhere else
- think about other possible ways of promoting

and help make this community growing steadily.

what do you think of my proposal? have you got any new ideas of how
to support our hobby? will you help me, all of the members and
yourself? we are more than 1000 - think about everybody winning only
10 new members.

please excuse me for any inconvenience i may have caused.

we have an active group here which means that there are many new
files from time to time. i hope you do enjoy these files as much as i
do. as there is only 20mb of space in the files section of every
yahoo group, i decided to set up the archives. as you will have
noticed, i do move the files there as soon as the files section of
this group is filled.

every time i do so, there will be a message here, informing you about
where to find the files. as i said in last night's message
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/sexsoundl ... essage/793
"please join the archives group, you won't miss a single sound".

you only need to join the archives for files you missed here and may
leave them immediately after downloading the files as there is
nothing else happening - they are just easy ways to store all the
older uploads. if you want to know which file is in which archives
group, look at the files list ("ssl-list" to be found under files as
excel and htm file).

two tipps that also might help:
if you are bothered by the amounts of emails sent to you
automatically by this group: set your preferences to daily digest and
you will get only one message per day containing up to 25 single
emails. just click on "edit my membership" on the left of the group's
homepage.

and to avoid the quoted error message, please don't try to download
the files by clicking on the link in the messages. it does not work
when i try to do that either. i don't know why, it may be caused by
this group's adult status. better visit the group and download the
files from the files section.

Ive just read tidbits here n there and have limited personal
experience. Guess it would depend on the structure (design/materials)
of the hotel and similar other factors. If they are verry thin walls
and you just want the next room, a standard elclectic (sp) microphone
might be good, if you are trying for across the street, you may want
to try a parabolic or shotgun microphone. They do have a "contact
microphone" available, used to detect bombs n stuff that work verrry
well for "listening through" walls, but unfortunately, you pick up all
other sounds that travel through the wall as well (leaky faucets,
toilets flushing, tvs, etc). There is no microphone, software or any
other equipment that I know of to "filter out" these sounds. Your
best bet to get a good recording is optimal placement of the equipment
(as far away from the unwanted sounds, and closest to the source as
you can get).

As for media, just going off a hunch, but i would guess digital is
always best. Next step up maybe professional tape, then mini tape
recorder. Depends on your budget and tech-wisedness. If you arent
too familiar with other formats, best to stick to what ya know. Hope

Hi, well I sent a post a while ago about recording stuff but here are the
highlights along with my answers to your questions.

First, it doesn't really matter too much what media you use, you can use
regular cassette tape if you are on a budget, just be sure to get a decent
machine with an external mic jack. Select one that is at least fairly
small and portable. If you want to go digital and can afford a mini disk
recorder get one of those, I don't think they are terribly expensive these
days. I don't get enough opportunities these days to do much recording or
I would buy one myself. As for mics, well you want the most sensitive one
you can get, mono or stereo doesn't matter of course. As for extra noise,
well the only thing you can really do is to turn off any tv's or radios or
anything like that in your room. You can't really do much about whatever
they have on in the room you are trying to record. It is very difficult to
filter out this kind of background noise because it is essentially
random. If there is background noise that is constant like air
conditioning or heaters or traffic noise, once you have the files on your
computer you can use digital filtering techniques to at least reduce some
of it.

There is a fellow by the name of Eitghman on this list who is very
knowledgeable about doing this kind of recording, in fact he has a website
about it. Perhaps he will be able to respond to your questions with some
further advice, but this should at least get you started in the right
direction.
