Thanks for both versions on their second date. My vote would be the phone.
I like the bed squeaking effect, but here it seemed to take over the recording.

Awesome though you are experimenting!

I would say the sweet spot would be a recorder placement in near enough proximity to detect the bed squeaks but far enough so they are part of the background.

I hope they’re together enough for you to experiment further - post them all; I will never get bored of her sweet cries and other vocals

Tell your roommate he has a free place to stay in LA if he wants to spend the summer here! Would love to record him exploring the warm depths of our local wildlife!

She truly is, ive never heard a girl so into it in real life before. Yeah I'm gonna play around with the recorder placement. My goal wasn't to capture the squeaking so pronounced in the squeaky version it just happened to but I don't think I prefer that one all that much so probably won't use that anymore. Gonna keep playing around and getting yalls feedback and go from there.

My thinking is that she just can't control her volume because after my roommate told her i was home in the first one she didn't get shy or anything. I think she maybe plans to be quiet before it ramps up and when he pounds her she just forgets and erupts. Also my roommate and I, more so him, have beef with our upstairs neighbors because they're super loud ass kids run around and keep him up where he has to wear earbuds at night sometimes. So I've heard him explain that to her and has said he doesn't care how loud she is because it's basically a revenge thing I guess. Either way, better for all of us.

Also if I had to guess I'd honestly say no, anytime he comes up to me afterwards I'll always have my noise canceling headphones on and pretend that I was just engrossed in games or my phone so I think he's under the assumption that I can probably hear but don't care because I stress to him I don't mind any noises and he should just do his thing.

And thanks yeah I'm gonna see what works and what doesn't and which recorders have the best quality and will work off of feedback here.

And I may do something like that but majority of my listening experience is listening carefully in the hallway and trying to not make too much noise and occasionally retreating to bust and then coming back when she screams so much I get back into it. I dont really make too many noises during but I will keep this in mind if people want to hear it I can see what I can do but will keep the clean versions separate.

Another good one is the black colored USB spy recorder. Esonic MQ-350. That one is decent quality and can be hidden or stuck out of site in your place.

I use the Sony at home. I have one of the models with a retractable USB-A connector. With the record mode set to MP3, I can plug it into an Anker wall charger and leave it recording indefinitely while traveling for work, then later upload the recordings to my laptop and scour through them..

hmm ill look into those, right now i got two TCTEC recorders off amazon. One that looks similar to the esonic one with about 15 hrs continuous and one that looks similar to the sony icd one with 72 hrs continuous. id like to capture highest quality possible so im recording wav in 512? i think bitrate but the one i have goes up to 1k so i will play around and see if it makes huge difference, i have no problem retrieving and clearing it out so i dont mind not using mp3 for storage purposes.

hey all. My roommate is 26 and just broke up with his girlfriend of a year and a half and they always fucked at her house. Hes been getting back into dating and had this girl over the other night and i was prepared with a recorder. He tells me he knew her from the gym a few years ago. They went for 2 hours, i split the file up into 4 because it kept giving me an error because its such a large wav file. but will also upload the mp3. Hes white about 5'8" jacked with a ton of muscle, shes black/latino about 5'3" with a fit/curvy body. Attached also is listening guide i put together while combing over the audio myself. Enjoy!

That first 2 hour recording is incredibly expressive and the description file with time stamps somehow sent me down a rabbit hole. I filled it out as best I could (attached). If anyone is interested and can pick out the parts that are "[unintelligible]" let's hear your best guesses. But in filling out the attached, there seems to be a lot going on in this clip. Sort of amazing.
