For me it is the thought of two people being so intimate with one another. The hotel in which I have made most of my recordings is a place people frequent just for sex (although some are actually traveling through). It is really something to see them in the hall - know what they look like - and then hear them in action. I think sex is one of the greatest energies on earth and it is so thrilling to hear people engaged in it, being totally primal with each other. In many of my recordings, I never actually see the two people, so then it is about wondering what they look like. I am always wondering what they do for work, how old they are, do they have families, what were they doing all day before they got to the hotel, what they will do the next day, how long have they been together, and then at a moment like now, ages after the fact, wondering if they are still together, wondering what brought them together. It is really an insight into the private lives of others.

I think I will have to agree with all of the other posters. The reason I love listening is because it's REAL. Regular ol' porn is great for the visual aspect. But when it comes to the sound part of it...it doesn't do much for me usually. The "pleasure" that the women are experiencing in porn seems so phony and kind of annoying actually. I can't stand the yelling/over the top screaming. I usually just mute the video and get off on the visuals alone.
