software for trimming audio?

captured a recording of another couple and also my newly wed wife and me had a romp that i managed to capture.
just trying to trim a 3 hour static long recording left overnight on near a mature couples room to only produce the mins that have some resemblance of sexsounds
and then want to trim our recording too to remove certain convos etc
had a look but couldnt find any that worked well from google play

For a windows/Mac laptop many people use audacity which is free and pretty powerful. I use it. But it is a little tricky to learn at first.

For windows I recommend Adobe Audition if you can get your hands on a free / cheap copy without subscription.

Yeppie is right about Audition and there are ways to try and reduce the cost. I posted some suggestions back in 2019. Here's the thread;

In the meantime if you wanted me to do any trimming on any file I will be happy to trim it how you want it.
