Ultimate Vocal Remover 5

Post by hecatonchires100 »

Hi everybody,

I found recently a very interesting audio application called UVR5 (Ultimate Vocal Remover, https://ultimatevocalremover.com/). This software can separate vocals and instrumentals from audio files. It's been developped for music but it works well to clean sex sounds or other sounds. It is based on specific algorithms (apparently with IA) and, in fact, I find it more efficient than, for example, Adobe Audition or Audacity.
It exists also an online version, but I've prefered install the standalone version which is free.

Be careful, the GUI is simple but the soft is not so easy to use, even if you can find some documentation on internet to help. Results greatly depend of the native quality of the sound file. The difficult part is to find the right procedure for a given audio file. So, no choice, one has to do experimentations.
Moreover, be careful, depending of the file size and the algorithm use, the calculations can last from few minutes to hours (on my portable PC, not very powerful and I can't use the GPU).
It could be better with a good desktop PC (like a PC gamer...).

Have a nice day.

the ultimate isn't ultimate. I tried it and you can better pinpoint your eq's at serveral frequencies and than make the bands very small on the notch filtering.
After that bandpass is a good way to give the voices more strength.
