My Terrible Luck

I don’t often get to travel to likely spots, but this week I spent in a charming boutique hotel in a travel destination. The walls were thin. I had a connecting door to another room. Ideal circumstances!

The breakfasts were full with loving young couples, gazing dreamily into each other's eyes.

However:

The corridors all have motion detectors so I was not comfortable roaming the hallways.

All week my neighbors were old men whose sounds mostly consisted of coughing.

Then!

An hour before I had to check out a young couple arrived in the connected room. I saw them briefly: he was quite tall, athletic. She was similarly slender but quite short. Their conversation was fun and flirty, and she in particular had an incredibly cute voice. I desperately hoped they would have some celebratory “we got here” sex, but no such luck. They unpacked and headed out… and so it ends.

Tragedy!
