You´re right, a community is a place to communicate and I´d prefer more members to join the communication. But (there is always a but), I think yeppie wrote this years ago, compare this place to other file-sharing communities and you will probably notice that here the message per member quota is much higher than the average.
It could be better, even much better but it is already better, even much better than in most of the comparable sites I know. And we are in a process of getting better - daily messages have risen significantly during this year.

I wouldn´t say anybody is working for the forum as there is no paid stuff but I know that yeppie spents at least an hour every day to administrate new members, to moderate messages and to download and upload files here and in the archives. He recently told me that he often doesn´t have the time to listen to all sounds because he can´t spend more time on his hobby besides the "work" he does for us. On the other hand, looking at the number of his messages you can´t blame him for not posting
