Keep logged in 24 hours?

Post by Feb »

I worry I might be denying other ssl users when I stay logged in all the time. My feb appears every time I come visit. There is no security issue with me, just convenience.

Yeppie once got me out of trouble when my PIN number would repeatedly not work. My eventual solution was to type the digits into a computer document, then later copy and paste to this Web page's box whenever I wanted access.

No reply to this is expected unless somebody wants me to kick myself off.

don't kick

Post by mysx »

Now please don't kick yourself off because of me :)

I just want to tell that I've been logged in forever at some other forums and I tried to log off
over and over. I don't know the reason but I think the cookie gone bad, too old? Anyway,
when you have logged off once, close all web pages, clean your Internet cache and go back
to http://www.yeppie.org. Then you should see that you aren't logged in really.

I have another problem with this forum. It's often very hard to browse, it takes forever to
open pages and post :( So when nothing happens during a long time, I hit submit again
and later there's 2 identical posts...

forever again

Post by mysx »

Well it took forever to reply this time too. Works normal only sometimes.
I've had similar problems in USA but isn't you closer to Sweden? I also
have downloading problems in UK, they drops at start and I only get
about 10 Kb of 25 MB. My ISP says there's nothing wrong. I've read
however their customers are unsatisfied. Unfortunately I have no
other option. Other web pages is working when the forum stops.

i´m not, but the server is located in the usa.
i know there have been a few downtimes, some times of a very bad connection and for some weeks the database behind the site has been a pain in the ass. but the host has improved the servers´connection and at least for me everything works pretty fast most of the times.
i have not experienced any problems for weeks. as i´m in europe like you, i tend to think that there is a severe bandwith problem with your provider or your connection to the internet.
did you ever visit the site from another place?

best before 12.00

Post by mysx »

I only have access to the internet at one location in Sweden, it's
where I live. The forum seems to work best before the afternoon.
I had no problem to browse and upload ealier today for instance.

I have problems sometimes, too. Especially the past month or so. About the same amount of time that RP has been active here, come to think of it! It must be his fault! (Just kidding, RP!).

I was thinking it was due to connecting overseas, but if the server is in the US, then I don't know what it is.

It could be anything and there's often problems at forums in USA.
It's a little frustrating when I have to correct something or when
I've made a big post and suddenly it doesn't work before submit :?

ISP

Post by mysx »

It didn't help to load the page again ealier today. The message
appeared at other pages in the forum too. Google and other
sites worked fine. Well, it's probably because of my ISP.
