In scrolling through the comments on this topic, I ran across a discussion about listing one's favorite files. It seems the topic died out but as a new member I find this topic exciting. I do not have access to the full range of contributions but I could certainly make a list from my limited access. It seems to me that two lists could be made: year by year, and overall, all-time favorites. Maybe ten is too large a number for year to year. Whatever the case may be, it would be exciting in my view to have such lists and to discuss them, as they could precipitate some lively and interesting comments. Here are a few I enjoy:

This one is in the archives under the outdoor files. I dunno why this one does it for me as much as it does. The girl sounds very hot, and it is a challenge to keep pulling out more little bits of text and hidden little gasps and moans.

I think this one is under motel sex. I am not sure if it still on line or only in the archive. This one has some talking before they get started and I like that, and she sounds really hot when she starts to moan. And again, it is a fun challenge to pull more and more out of it.

I like a lot of files but these are the ones I find myself playing with a lot with different software.

Reggind, as you mention you have closely listened to glasto friday - do you also think they were starting again at the end just before the recorder gets taken away? I truly believe we missed round 2 here which is a big shame! But I agree it is a very sexy recording.

I would have to look up the other 2 on my laptop.

The resurrected "How about a contest for the best audio file" thread reminded me that I had started a list of my own several months ago. I decided to put it here, as it isn't really a top ten list (there aren't even ten entries) and seemed more appropriate as a response to audiophile444's request for a list of favorites. Most of this will not be of much use to people who don't have archive access-- sorry about that. For what it's worth, I don't have access either, but I did pay for a short-term membership a couple of years ago, and I think it was worth it.

Not really the same kind of sex sound, but bear with me. In the 1980's borrowed a cassette of Welcome to the Pleasure Dome from a friend and listened to it on my Walkman in bed one night when I was 17 years old. This record was known for its homoerotic imagery, the sexually suggestive use of the word "come" in a hit single, and the "Frankie Say" t-shirts, but until that night I was unaware of the fact that it also contained a brief snippet of vocals by a sexually excited woman exhorting her lover to "come on, come on, push, push... come on, come on..." I must have rewound and played it back dozens of times. It was clear to me what was happening on the recording, but until that moment I'm not sure I had any idea that there might be an auditory component of sex. The sound of her panting and the break in her voice is still arousing to me. You can find the relevant passage at 3:00 minutes into the YouTube video. I have no idea how the sound ended up on this particular record; I have always imagined that someone from the record label convinced producer Trevor Horn to include material that might be more appealing to a straight audience than, say, "Krisco Kisses."

A sentimental favorite. Sometime in the 1990's I downloaded a single, short section of this .wav file when it was split for posting on alt.binaries.sounds.erotica. For years I regretted not going back in time to get the other parts. At some point I found a low-quality .ra of the entire thing, but the original .wav had a clarity that was unusual for its time. Happily, a much better .mp3 can be found in the SSL archives. A sweet voice, a little dirty talk, but a bit short by current standards.

Holy shit. If there was only one sex-sound file left on earth, I would want it to be this one. Despite the title, the recording features very little sexual intercourse. You hear heavy breathing, gasps, the rustling of sheets or clothing; some fingering, some kissing, some erotic whispers. This is a couple's first encounter, and they obviously came unprepared. I don't know whether this file has ever been uploaded here as an mp3, but it was linked in a post. Seriously, holy shit. I have no idea where this file came from. I wish there were more of them. I'd pay money to get more of them.

Good grief. I have apparently had a copy of this file on my computer for years, but I only recently listened closely enough to figure out what was going on. I like the dirty talk, and the fact that this is a pretty hot first encounter, taped by a guy who is obviously getting off extra hard on the fact that he's having sex with someone's girlfriend.
