actually I really considered knocking on their door and tell them to put down the volume as it really was too loud
I'm still surprised how 'good' the recording turned out under this circumstances.
In the end I didn't ask them to turn down the volume, because the other couple would have heard my knocking and the conversation and probably would have been quieter afterwards... At least that's what I thought and what held me back
