Full moons and lovers?

I just came in from watching the eclipse and that got me to thinking. I drove into town today with a friend and there were cops everywhere. My friend speculated that it might be because they were expecting some people to wig out a bit during the eclipse. I did not give that theory much weight, but it did get me to thinking, do more people have sex on the full moon? Might be another thing to add to the list of things that make a good night, you know, weekend night, good hotel, and a full moon? Just a thought..

Yes, I definitely recall seeing lots of young people going out during the 'blood moon' eclipse in the UK a few years ago,
which, IIRC, fell on a Friday night. The warm weather at the time was an additional factor.

I sometimes also noticed a few young couples having fun outside in the park whenever there was a full moon during
the summer.

The actual eclipse occurred on Sunday night/Monday morning, but I recall lots of revellers going out on
either Friday night or Saturday night of that weekend.
