It's the one time of year that always makes me cringe. All these couples holding hands, people buying flowers
and chocolates and other gifts - and who the hell was Saint Valentine, anyway?
I don't bother doing recordings (unless I already happen to be in a hotel); I just go to the gym or go
for a run. But...if anyone managed to grab some hot sounds, please upload 'em here, thanks! [rubbing my hands]
since it is Valentines Day there be a lot of couples " Making Love " in hotel rooms so I do wish everyone here the best of luck tonight and Please try and avoid getting yourself into trying hence avoid the " Security Camera's " pick hotels that arent as guarded much by Security try the Hilton Garden Inn or Red Roof Inn or Knights Inn or Drury Inn or days Inn those are the ones that would be hotspots for couples having sex but the ones to avoid is Casino's especially Hard Rock avoid at All Cost that's like suicide if you're planning on trying to capture sounds there as the Security Guards at Casino's take their Jobs very seriously and they can be quite intimidating so try not to go to those kinda hotels and stick to the ones that have less camera's and Security
This observation may be off base as I have not been to a business class hotel in a long time, since I stopped working.. and the prices of cameras has dropped a lot.. But..
As counter intuitive as it seems I have found the low end shit holes that I have been in a few times after I stopped working to have more cameras than the nicer business class places I used to have to frequent.
I think there is a bit of logic here. The crappier places are more concerned with people vandalizing the place itself. They are not so worried about the customers but non guests stealing ice or kids breaking into the vending machines etc. The cameras also get people coming and going but I get the vibe that they are more interested in their shit than yours. One of the really low end shithole super 8's has the big monitor with all the cam screens on the wall behind the reception desk. It is odd as it is more visible to the customers than the employees. There may be a message in that, just know you are on camera, even though it is doubtful they staff would be board enough to actually sit down and watch.
