Just to be sure, by "double room", you mean a TWO-PERSON room, right?

There always seems to be some confusion with that. Here in the states, a "double room" usually means a room with TWO beds (which is usually a BAD idea since it means you're in an area with rooms intended for people with kids and such -- so no sex). Here, you'd book a "single King" or "single Queen" room -- which would be intended for one or TWO people.

That's what you mean, right? That you book a room for two people with one bed, yes?

I can´t speak for JulietH but in Germany most hotels distinguish between Double-Rooms and Two-Bed-Rooms with double usually meaning one bed for two people.

Exactly. I'm sure this is what she means. I just wanted to clarify for those in the USA that might not know that -- since we don't normally refer to rooms that way. We tend to refer to them by beds regardless of the number of people. So, a "Single King" is generally a room with one King bed -- that very well might have two people staying in it. And a "double" would often mean 2 beds -- not 2 people. :)

Honestly I've never had luck in ANY hotel room! My fiance and I are always the ones giving an audio show. I get excited every time I get to stay at a hotel, only to be disappointed later.

I've never been able to hear anyone else, even in the sketchy hourly motel in Portland.

If I can wander the halls at night, then I usually have good luck eventually. But, I have to admit, I'm willing to walk for hours if I have to just to get a recording or two. Unfortunately, I don't normally have that opportunity because I'm usually at the hotel with my wife (who doesn't know about my plans and therefore I can't just leave alone in the room for hours). She knows about my fetish - so if the people next door are going at it, she knows that I'm going to enjoy listening. But that's pretty rare that I'd get that lucky.

But, again, on the rare occasion that I am alone somewhere (like for work), then I'll definitely be walking the halls for hours hoping for a chance to record. Especially if I don't have to be up that early in the morning! Perfect for me is not needing to be anywhere until the afternoon! I'll walk the halls until at least 3am (to make sure I catch those coming home after the bars close at 2am). Then, hopefully, I can sleep until noon!
