new file - exchange...
Early this fall, the local philharmonic orchestra hosted an exchange
group. Rehersal was Friday, the concert was Saturday evening. Some went
clubbing Friday evening...
These two started necking in a back booth of the hotel bar and
eventually headed to the elevators. He was tall, athletic and from the
brass section of our orchestra. She was medium short, thin with dark
hair, dark brown eyes and quite pretty -- string's I think.
I'm sure others of you can place the accent better than I... German,
Danish or Dutch... there's an "oh my gott" instead of the typical
American "oh my gawd" in one of the recordings.
This is part one - the balance should post next week.

It looks like Reg hasn't rejoined the group yet (yeppie re-added the file from the last few posted to the old group). Bummer, hopefully he finds us again and completes this series!
Also got to agree with Fillmy about the story adding to the enjoyment. I hope that's something others keep in mind when uploading new sounds. Tell the story that goes with it if there is one!

The noisy neighbors are long gone, sadly. I recorded all of them over a year ago. I have a few more items from them to upload, but they are not as good as the previous ones.
I did say a few things about the neighbors on the old list but there's not much in the way of stories to tell about them. The guy lived in the duplex that sits on the corner next to my apartment and he would have his girlfriend visiting on weekends and holidays and I could frequently hear them going at it from my computer room as the guy's bedroom window was near my computer room window. The first couple times I heard it vaguely through my closed window I thought it was a dog barking! So, I ignored it. I could kick myself for that! Finally I realized what it really was and started recording it when I heard it, first from my open window and later getting bold enough to actually walk behind the house and set my recorder on the outside window sill of the bedroom! (There's an opening in the wall between the house and my apartment courtyard and plenty of cover, at least at night when most of this was going on). I only ever caught the briefest glimpse of the girl in her car--she had blond hair was all I could tell. The guy was college-age and short, but with an athletic build so he probably got reasonably attractive girls.

That went well...
for those of you keeping score at home -
I had originally planned this as a three part submittal - with the old site - 2-3 mb attachments worked better for me.
With a full 5mb to work with - I combined parts 2 & 3 and have uploaded that attachment.
So that wraps up the Exchange series...
