I tried searching the forum but it didn't like my search terms "file.php" "download problems" and "file php"
When I click on the download links in posts it gives me the download but names it "file.php" instead of what it should be.
This is probably the wrong sub-forum but I didn't see a "help section"
Thanks!

Re: Filename problem
I have occasionally had that problem, not sure what causes it. To get around it I just right-click the link instead and select "Save Link As" (or something similar, depending on your browser) and in the "Save As" box name the file yourself with the appropriate extension (usually .mp3).

Re: Filename problem
Outspoken, I remember that I read about that problem somewhere but I did not find that when doing a search today. I think the solution can be found in the browser settings but I am not sure. Answers to the following questions might help to find a solution for that issue:
- Did Shung's hint help (right-click, save as)?
- Which browser?
- I'm tired so I forgot the third question ... maybe, does that happen always?
