ocd when im in a hotel

Is there anyone else that puts their ear up to.the wall in a hotel room every few minutes when traveling alone? I don't travel much so I think I overcompensate. On my last trip i was awoken at 3 am with the neighbors going at it for maybe30 seconds and my night was ruined. What a rip off

You are not alone. Have done this a few times too many. Problem is when you think you have heard something and press the ear more against the wall and figure out it was a water pipe or something making the noise lol!

Yes I do, which means I don't sleep very well when staying in hotels.
One story I have was when I was younger (20's). Me and some friends went on a sort of road trip. We stayed over night in a cheap Travel Lodge, but shared in pairs in twin rooms to reduce the cost.
This was a big mistake, as that night would have been the best ever if I had been on my own!
A young-ish couple were next door to me and later that night after a night on the town, they started at it, firstly in the shower, then moved to the bed, where they went at it all night long!!
They were so loud there was no way my mate would have been asleep (in the next bed), so I couldn't risk anything, i just had to lay there and listen! Absolutely gutted doesn't even start to describe it!! I was so tired in the morning, but with nothing to show for it. If only I had been on my own!!

I almost never sleep in hotels. If I am alone I am up all night ever so hopeful.... I got lucky exactly once and they were down one floor and one room over so they must have been making a fuck (no pun) of a racket. This was a motel with open terraces. One other time I fell asleep, it was a work trip and I took the red eye out and I passed out only to wake up to the very last seconds of the folks in the room next to me. I was not happy.

I live in a college town and I have pondered trying to get to know the night clerk at the local budget hotel. I have this fantasy that if he sees a cute couple come in he could give me a buzz and reserve the room next door with the wall to their bed for me and I could slip him a few bucks for the service. It sounds plausible with the right person behind the desk...

I would not care the slightest bit. You are allowed to stand in the coridor you know. What you expect, security running up to smack you in the neck with a stick and tell you to get your ass into your own room? Maybe you shouldn't get your cock out right there and then or plant a recorder under the door while smiling into the camera but other than that.. You can pretend to be waiting for someone, or get on your phone to send a text or don't do much at all.

Yes, Reggind should get a job as a night clerk. I have looked into doing this on the side (part time night porter job) but it pays fuck all while it turns your life up side down.

I wonder if there really is anyone watching the output of hotel corridor-cams 24-7. Seems like it would be very expensive to tie up a security guard watching a mostly empty corridor just in case somebody is up to no good. More likely, it's all being recorded and would only be viewed if somebody reports a theft or an assault.

Not sure I'd be willing to put this to the test, mind.

I have this bad. I go away and I never sleep I bounce from wall to wall. I check in and wait for hours. Then if I'm not in the middle of 2 rooms I asked to be switched to a differ even room

I myself have not been lucky on the past 5 hotel stays or so. The last 3 also had cameras in the corridors which very much influenced my ability to spend hours walking around listening. 2 weeks ago I was in a 2* hotel in Liverpool on my own. I decided not to care about the cameras but before I knew it the reception lad had run up to my floor to ask me if I needed help as I looked lost. By that time I had already placed 2 recorders by rooms with (relative) young couples in them but no action there...

Next week hopes up for a posh hotel at valentines night. Staying in a converted castle though so possibly squeeky floorboards and mainly seniors in the rooms

Not in a hotel but at home, yes. My neighbours to the right are early 30s, and she is extremely fit. Because of his work schedule sex for them is a bit sporadic, but the 5 or so times I have managed to catch them have been amazing. Just thinking about her erotic moans gets my blood pumping.
