A potentially interesting opportunity for this weekend has just presented itself here, for which I'll need a couple of these cheapo pen drive style recorders the more outdoorsy of you have started using.
Can anyone in the UK link me to specific models that have worked well for them? I'm asking because out of the 5 or 6 different models I've had from Amazon and Ebay, two hardly worked (dodgy switches), one seemed to not be able to stay with a file system in tact for longer than a couple of uses, and the others have all either recorded at a lower sample rate or with considerably more hiss than what I've been hearing. With the weekend just around the corner, I'm looking to make smart purchases rather than risk more duds and miss out on the opportunity.
Also, how long continuous recording time are you getting out of these? What kind of battery life can I expect?
Cheers muches
