Sending a gift
So I've seen this joked about from time to time. But has anyone actually sent a toy anonymously to a woman in the hopes she'll use it while you're recording? What would the logistics even be? Obviously this is not an Amazon Prime situation. I have a neighbor (that I've never spoken to, would have no social reason to suspect it was me or anyone else in the building) that lives alone and I feel could use encouragement. But tell me this is a bad idea.

Hmmm. You probably need a female perspective on this really, but from what I can tell, your average vanilla person would be freaked out more than turned on by the idea. This oppinion comes from a conversation with an artist I produced who gets a lot of fanmail, and from seeing a few tweets from celebs over the years along the lines of "there's nothing creepier than an unrequested vibrator".

Good call. I wasn't super into it, but if it was effective, I would've considered it. I have a petty direct channel of sound to an apartment across the hall from me and I think I got overly excited since its just be one woman lives there. Then there's also shitting where you eat...

Re: Sending a gift
I guess really this really comes down to the individual, but without you knowing more about her, I dunno how you could make a solid gamble.
Have you tried regularly recording around bedtimes and early mornings? They tend to be the most popular times to catch action so far as I can tell.
If you've tried that consistently and caught nothing, there's a fair chance that she either A) doesn't diddle or B) is super quiet about it. At a rough guess I'd say I've probably heard somewhere around 15 women doing the deed without an audience so far, but out of those, probably less than a third regularly made enough noise to make it outside of the room, let alone the apartment.
It's a tough one man, the stars have really got to align for these types of captures.

I only get a few chances every so often because my wife's schedule (she wouldn't be into it). I have a chance this weekend, figure Saturday morning is gonna be as good as it gets. Thanks for the advice.
