improving quality and help from others

Post by powerboy »

hello,

I understand that to get the best sound it is in the recording but unfortunately this is not my recording. it is one that I have mentioned a few times. three files from the dogging doorman, about an eighteen year old.
the quality is a little raw and I am not to good with audacity. I have read that some forum users help out by doing a good mix on it. could anyone help out there. would I have to post those files as I cancelled my membership. The files are in the hotsounds100 bin if I am correct.
It would be great if someone could have a look at them and touch them up a bit.

thanks

Personally I much prefer raw files and I can play with them as I want to. Some "clean up" people do sounds to my ear much more annoying than the original problem. For example the noise removal leaves a very nasty artifact, that kind of swoshey/phase shifted kind of sound. I find that much more distracting than the noise.

I would ask that if you want to upload doctored files that you also upload the raw versions as well as there is no undoing the damage that a bad clean up job causes.

I think so, too... just upload the files and then the community can have a look on them and the requirement for noise removal... which has very often an unwanted and unpleasent underwater impression...

You don't access to them any more to upload. Just upload in the relevant section. Start a thread, enter your description and upload :)

hello

I have uploaded the files to youtube as I don't know how to get them on here.

so here are the sounds, if anyone wants to have a go at improving them that would be great!
I have tried and end up with a horrible hissing sound. not sure what I keep doing wrong. I try to amplify it then get rid of the hum.

thanks

sez private. can we still have a listen?
I like raw files if anyone has editing work, I'm not an expert but I can work with the programs.
I do need practice and work for the faps.

Video is private.

There is an option to attach files in the post editor. Have a look around and you will find it.

Also try and upload them in the relevant section. it helps us to organise these files and allows you to give a back stroy as will (which is always appreciated)

Just go tot he members area, clock on whatever section these belong to and click "new topic". There when you move down the page you will see "attachments". Click on that and attach. job done!
