Tech question

Hello all..

I saw the other day some listening devices freely available, cheap too, on EBay.. These consist of a small plastic housing with a sim card inside.. You call the device from wherever and get call quality sounds.. They supposedly last around an hours worth of listening per battery.. Are they any good? Any thoughts?

I would go with an old cell phone set to auto answer before one of those. These have no plausible deniability.\\
