i just found some new hardware device that seems to be quite good for our purposes:

Looks neat! I dunno about this 4 mic configuration they've gone for though ... I'd have been happier for a 2 mic setup that cost less.
Useful for us as long as the battery life holds up, and although its a fair bit cheaper than something like the Ederol or Maudio stuff I still wouldn't wanna risk losing it, so its for safe-ish situations only I guess.
