Dear collegues,
I spent yesterday night in a hotel in a big city hoping to get some recordings. It was the final weekend of the summer holidays, big city, large hotel (over 160 rooms, most of them occupied) without cameras or security guards. It seemed ideal conditions to meet some couples that could deliver excellent sex sounds! I walked all the hotel, up and down, all the corridors (at 8 floors!) between 11 p.m and 2.30 a.m. and... only heard very short and quiet moaning coming from one room. So quiet and short that I wasn't even able to start recording.

Therefore, I have a question to you as the experienced hunters: have you ever calculated how often have you been able to hear and records the sounds while visiting hotels? Is it 10%, 20%, 50% of all the visits? I wonder if my yesterday case was unlucky excepion or if it is a norm. As I wrote before, there could have not been more favarable conditions that I met yesterday.

I haven't kept statistics but lack of sex sounds is not unusual. Be prepared that many hours spent in corridors may result in nothing at all.

I find it hard to estimate a general percentage, because each hotel visit is unique and it can vary a lot. It's a combination of luck (being in the right place at the right time), the extent of sound insulation, the number of couples, how horny they are and how loud they are during sex.

In my favourite hotels, something like 85% chance to hear at least one couple during a weekend, although sometimes just their last minutes. But in some other hotels I've been to frequently, not the best conditions and only somewhere between 10 and 15% chance.

In your case, I wouldn't even try to cover all of the eight floors. I would suggest that you choose a few of them to focus on. If you can, try to find out where some couples are staying. Don't waste much time on floors if you think there are mostly families, business people, single travelers, etc.

I'm not walking constantly but I stop to listen for a short while near every set of doors where there's potentially a couple awake. I usually try to plan my walks to a circuit so that each round takes about fifteen minutes to complete. I don't know if it's always the best strategy, but at least that way I'm fairly certain I didn't miss much on the floors that I walked.

Also try to get a sense of what's going on in the rooms. Memorise or write some quick notes. If there has been a change since the previous time you walked by, it means your chances just increased. For example, if the TV has been switched off, maybe they are preparing to go to bed. If they used to talk loudly, but are now talking quietly, or after any change of mood really, keep extra alert and check their room more often.

I selected some couples basing on voices coming from the rooms. The problem was that they occupied the rooms at most of the floors, so I had to travel a lot. Time gaps were surely under 15 minutes so no way I missed something important. Most of the couples went sleep between midnight and 1 A.m. The last one was watching a movie for a long time. When they finished and switched the tv off, the girl asked the guy for 'something extra' but he refused to give his horny lady a little paradise... No lovesong as a result... It seems I was just unlucky this time.

Yes, you just need better luck next time. It seems that you made the best of the situation.

I've heard similar conversations where only one of them wants sex, but usually it's the girl who refuses.

Before the pandemic hit, during my travels my family and I stayed in a few hotels of various sizes all the way from like a little bed & breakfast to a 350+ room Marriott and it is surprisingly very difficult to be at the right place, at the right time. After all the urge of some naughty fun can strike at anytime haha.

What I did have some luck with is just hanging out in the lobby, by the bar or at the pool to keep an eye for cutesy couples going up to their room or a family making their way back for the night and just kinda sorta follow them casually to see their room# before coming back to listen while wandering the hotel.

Most of the time though, especially in the bigger hotels, I was glued to the walls of either side of my room (Mom & Dad in the next room, Bro & Sis-in-Law on the other side) definitely some very exciting sexy memories.
