With lockdown restrictions lifting in the UK I'm away for a few days staying in a Bed & Breakfast in the North of England, which wasn't intended to provide any recording opportunites. There are 3 guest rooms but only one other room is occupied by a mid 30s couple which is above the room I'm in.
So after a day driving around some tourist areas it was back to the B&B for a rest before getting ready to head out for dinner and I see that the car belonging to the couple is already here.
I sat quietly in the room - mid to late afternoon being a good time for couples to "relax"
There was some movement from upstairs......
Some strange sounds....
Then I realised that they were video calling whatever parent was looking after their young child and they were making cooing noises to junior over the phone....
Unlucky. I’ve spent quite a bit of travelling with work (all in the UK) in the last few months. Every time I check in somewhere new I’m expecting something from the next room but nothing yet .
